Welcome to Stamford Park

 

Stamford Park is a 16 acre public park owned & run by Trafford Borough Council in Greater Manchester. It is one of the most heavily used parks in Trafford & lies on the borders of Altrincham & Hale. It opened in 1880 on land donated by the 7th Earl of Stamford and was designed by John Shaw.

In recognition of its position as one of the first public parks to be designed for sports it has a Grade II listing on the Register of Parks & Gardens of Special Historic Interest (England).

Opening times 07:30hr – dusk

Directions
Stamford Park is 5 minutes walk from the rail station in Altrincham. Walk along Moss Lane from the Metrolink/Train station and the park is on the right hand side just before you reach Altrincham football ground.
