Sports

Football
A full size pitch is located at the Queens Rd end. It can be booked by contacting Maureen Glendinning (Sports Development, Trafford Council) on 912 3104. There are changing facilities by the male toilets. In addition there are 2 mini goals in the “Oval” for informal use.

Tennis
3 tarmac courts are located at the Charter Rd end. Nets are usually in place all year round. There is no charge for the courts.

Basketball
Adjacent to the tennis courts is a tarmac court which is also free to use.

Lawn bowls
The 2 greens on the Stamford Rd are the home of Hale Moss Bowling Club (formerly based at the Bleeding Wolf in Hale). They currently have 7 teams including veterans, ladies, men’s & mixed. Their ages range from 16-90 and they are always keen to welcome new members. If you want to find out more please contact David Armstrong on 929 4788.

Skateboarding & inline skating
The former paddling pool at the Charter Rd end has been informally used for these activities. It is neither specially equipped nor formally recognized for these activities.

Jogging/walking
The path around the “Oval” provides a 400m circuit which can be extended to take in the football pitch.

The Oval
The grassed oval provides ample space for a wide variety of activities. Cricket, its original purpose, is still played but you may come across all manner of pursuits including kite flying, tai chi or even Sudoku
