Defibrillator
There is a defibrillator installed on the side of the Bowling Pavilion, next to the notice board. It is there to provide emergency resuscitation for anyone who needs it at any time of the day or night.
The defibrillator is registered on the βThe Circuitβ, the National Database of defibrillators, and the NW Ambulance Service have it on their list should they receive a 999 call from in or near the park.
The equipment is designed to be used by anyone with no prior experience, and clear step-by-step instructions are provided by the Emergency Services.
To ensure this vital equipment is kept in working order, the Friends of Stamford Park have taken responsibility for its upkeep. One of our volunteers regularly check itβs status and reports back to The Circuit. FOSP has bought new pads, paid for out of our funds. (Funding for pads etc. is not currently available from Trafford Council).
