Junior Play Area Update

Thank you for your generous donations over the past few months.

As you are aware, together with the One Trafford partnership (Trafford Council/Amey), Netflix funding and a generous donation from a local family, we were able to complete the under 5s play area in May 2024. Our fundraising is ongoing, and we want to update you on the next steps for the junior play area.

In 2025/6, we will be working with Trafford Council’s landscape design team to develop ideas and get prices. Although Friends of Stamford Park (FOSP) have raised over £11k to date, as you can imagine, any improvements to the play area will be costly. With this in mind, we continue to look for corporate and personal contributions, along with financial input from Trafford Council. In addition, depending on design plans, we are sure it will be necessary to apply for substantial grant funding.

In the meantime, rest assured that FOSP is holding your donations safely.

Your FOSP committee will be working together with the One Trafford Partnership on this project throughout 2026 and will update you in due course.
