Playareas

There are two play areas at the Mayors Road entrance to the park. Both have seating for accompanying adults and are fully enclosed.

In the larger junior area, there is a variety of equipment, including a large wooden climbing trail, swings, a metal slide, a roundabout and a multi-unit for smaller children. There is also an old skateboarding area which is now used by children on skateboards, scooters and rollerblades.

In the smaller play area, equipment is more suitable for the under-fives. This area was improved in 2024, with the work funded by Trafford Council, a local family’s charity golf day, money from Netflix filming in the park and Friends of Stamford Park. New equipment includes the addition of a multi access play unit, an accessible roundabout and picnic table, and a cradle swing, together with fencing to keep our little visitors safe.
